A little about Rod Baker…
Rod Baker is the founder of DFWNeon, which is part of the DFWParties family of goods and services. Rod has performed as an MC/DJ in the Dallas Fort Worth market for over 25 years in some capacity, with the last 12 full time.
While searching for cool disc jockey additions, Rod came across the world of faux neon. Utilizing his college course learning in Chinese business, he set up contacts with international fabricators. He spent months perfecting a process to submit orders, proof the product, and ensure top quality. There are a lot of producers of faux neon signs, but very very few have the level of quality control the DFWNeon possesses. That’s Rod’s background, an uncompromising commitment to getting it right.

Rod graduated from Oklahoma State University with a journalism degree with an emphasis in Advertising, while also studying marketing.
He holds that all important native Texas status however! 🙂
Rod worked on the media side for newspaper and cable stations. He worked in print media for a decade before making the jump to internet advertising.
From there, he was hired by Grey Worldwide as a buyer for print and broadcast media. These concepts are still used extensively by him to this day.
Rod is a past president of the Fort Worth Junior Chamber of Commerce (the Jaycees).
He also holds a board position with Fort Worth based Professional Wedding Guild.
Rod owns DFWParties, a full-service MC/DJ speical events company. He has performed over 1,800 events in his career. He and his junior partner Shelby Haun continue rocking events throughout the DFW metroplex!
